Finally, "The Batman" teaser dropped during DC Fandome 2021. Directed by Matt Reeves, starring Robert Pattinson, Paul Dano, Zoe Kravtiz, Jeffrey Wright, Peter Sarsgaard and Colin Farrell. Bruce Wayne has never looked so young and so angry and surprisingly, so dark! Super stoked. Especially for Catwoman and Riddler.

This goes way back to the comics. Year One Dark Knight. He's enraged, unhinged, barely keeping it together.

This is NOT a nice Batman, and I love it.

(edit- lots of people pointed out that this is based on DC Year Two, and they're correct. I still see a huge Year One vibe, but I do stand humbly corrected).

This is the most PISSED OFF Batman I think I’ve ever seen!!! You can feel how his overwhelming rage is.

The look Selina gave to Batman when he is pummeling that guy, he looks like he will ground and pound you until there is literally nothing left but a red smear. I asked for a movie that looks like The Dark Knight meets Se7en and I got it. 🔥🔥🔥

i like how we are getting a Year one setting/tone (pre-Joker/most Rogues Gallery, corruption, angry bruce, reckless bruce, and his costume/tactics are rougher (charging right at enemies)) while skipping over the typicval origin stuff (training, alleyway, etc)
