We recently played Fishing for Words. It looked like a fun little game played with dice, so I bought it at a resale store for like 50 cents. I thought I got a great deal!

I want my money back.

ABOUT THIS YOUTUBE CHANNEL

I love playing with my kids! I've come to learn that simply playing games with my kids is one of the best ways that I can connect with them and model what it looks like to be loving, patient, kind, and encouraging.

It's all too common for dads to be distant and disconnected with their kids. I, too, have the temptation and tendency to just give my kids a screen and just allow them to play on their own. But I've come to believe that this is definitely not the best way to parent children.

So this channel is my attempt to hold myself accountable to play with my kids more, and to encourage any and every parent out there (including myself) to have fun, laugh, and teach our kids...just by playing games with them!

We tend to like short/quick word games so for us it was a win but I can see if you’re settling in for a Family Game Night this is probably not the game for you! But for a short little game w your kids when you only have a limited time, it fit our criteria of what we like 😂

As per the video here, you’re totally playing it wrong!
Only the LAST word made is set aside, not played off of, and all remaining die are rolled by the next player- that includes any unused letters from the last turn and all the letters from the previous (2nd to last) turn’s word.

Played as directed, I think it’s a really fun, space efficient and time flexible game, best as 2 person head to head.

I enjoyed it at with breakfast at a coffee shop with my daughter, or killing time in a doctor’s waiting room.

I agree that if you want a full on family word game night, go with scrabble.
