Genealogy: A Descendant's Recount of the Donner Party

On Thursday, March 2, 2023, Pat Hillman presented on the story on The Donner Party at the Tulare Public Library.

Mrs. Hillman is a fourth-generation Californian and native Tularean. Her paternal great-grandmotherwas a daughter of George Donner, Captain of the ill-fated Donner Party wagon train. The story of this tragic attempt to srodd the Sierras in the winter of 1846-47 will be told via a DVD presentation with Mrs. Hillman present to answer questions following the showing.
