I'm 33yrs. old & owned every NBA LIVE & was very loyal to the franchise...UNTILL NBA 2K11. Pre ordered NBA 2K 13 & couldn't be happier w/ it. NBA LIVE dropped the ball so to speak. This is a GREAT video, thumbs up!

if you play sports games, don't buy the newest one every single year, because you're just buying the same game with slightly updated stats on characters. I say wait at least 3-5 years before buying a new sports game

Damn man I can still remember how much I would play these games. I remember live 01 and nba 2k1 vividly, I was only 12 years old thinking I was Kobe and Iverson smfh time flies man I'm 26 this year and still enjoying time now with my nephews playing nba 2k15 on Xb1 and got a kid of my own now lol.

This video made me realize a couple things.
1.How far technology has come.
2.How 2k came into the game and demolished live.
3.How fast time goes by and we should enjoy every moment. 
4.Oh and how I miss those teen years.

1st of all, epic video. I love it. It brought tears into my eyes. That being said, while NBA Live is a good basketball series, I think that NBA 2K is the best basketball series. The 2K guys at 2K Sports have took a lot of time and patience to put together a well-made and awesome basketball game. EA Sports was trying too hard and too fast with their Live series just to make a quick buck. But with 2K, they manages to make it like a beautiful thing. Plus, they added a lot of NBA Legends into the mix and when they got the rights to use the likeness of Jordan, Magic, & Bird, they won the battle. In short, NBA 2K > NBA Live.

Great video... I can't knock anyone on their preference, but even EA admitted they weren't up to par..  Don't forget they canceled a few Live titles that were completed and waiting to be distributed to the retailers...

Nba live 04, 06, and 07 were the best in my opinion and i think 2k started to take over when 2k8 dropped.

To me 2k became better in 09 . I think live 15 is the comeback game looking real nice. But damn ! I got a little emotional remembering the good old days. Chillin with the boys and kicking ass in Live or 2K. :') good times

awesome compilation. I was always an NBA Live fan ever since 97 ...but after NBA Live 2010...I had no choice but to switch to the 2K series. I've purchased 2K11 and 2K12 and they've been great.

Nba live 04 and especially 05 were the best nba live then 2k took over at 2k9

TBH i loved the live series and never really could get into the 2k series something about the controls always felt off to me but the first NBA game i played (other than NBA Jam) was live 95 or 96 and kept playing each year after that so i progressed with the game. I even enjoyed live 10 but i jumped ship this year to 2k14 the my player mode on that is the BOMB!!! even has stopped me playing MLB the show 14 which i love. sooo indepth i hope MLB look at following suit and giving RTTS some more depth in character building. Awesome video dude good work to get NBA Live Elite on their too :)

yea Ive been playing 2k since 2k8.In 2010 i bought live and nba 2k10.After about a week with live 10 i said "This game shall never see the light of day again" Out loud.Traded it in the next day

Back in the day I would play a lot of NBA 2k because it was so good and every time I watch it I relive the moments of playing with friends and having fun and it evolved so much and it makes me happy :)
