The Last Great NBA Live

NBA Live 10 was the last great NBA Live game. Mike Wang actually left 2K to work on this title, resulting in a great NBA video game. The next year, he returned to 2K, and EA ruined everything.

Speaking of NBA Live 10, the new March Madness Legacy Mod for NCAA Basketball 10 uses physics and AI from NBA Live 10 to make the gameplay much better.

I played nba live 10 so much I literally burned out the disc so a point where the game would crash or be laggy even offline. The disc was in perfect condition just over worked lol

Just bought NBA Live 2005 for PS2. Its wild how much more realistic a game made with horrid graphics is vs games today

NBA Live's gameplay wasn't amazing, but I always though the game was fairly deep, fun, and controlling your players felt smooth. I loved being able to spend time playing with the international teams. Players actually felt different with Dynamic DNA and online was incredibly fun with Online Team Play and The Run. I spent so many hours on Run and OTP, I remember playing in an OTP league through Operation Sports. Great video as usual.

I'll never forget the day I got Live 10 was the same day Kobe hit that buzzer beater over Wade. I loved this game a lot but man I was ADDICTED to 2K10s MyPlayer. I couldn't stop playing that for anything. Just imagine if we had 10 years of consistent improvement off of Live 10, the basketball game landscape would look so different now. Instead of 2K dropping a great game every 4 years they would have to come with it every year. What could've been sigh

I still play Live 10 a shit ton to this day. I even happily bought NBA Live 14 and 15 on launch day, and enjoyed the hell out of them. Sold them when I sold my Orbis back in January 2017.

Live 96, 98, 2003, 06, 08, and 10 are my favorite Lives.

No matter the age of the sports game I am playing (the newest console I own are the PS3 and 360), I like to get around the lack of roster updates by just doing a fantasy draft every time I start a Season or Dynasty.

NBA 2K1 is what made me a sports game player, but the last one I enjoyed was 2K6. Because starting with 2K7, it got WAY too realistic for it's own good. I hated having to learn every player's shooting stroke. It sucked all the fun out. It's a video game. If I want that kind of realism, I will watch an actual game or go play basketball myself.

I recently bought NBA Live 19, and can't wait to start playing it once I buy my nephew's Durango here soon.
