Greeks flock to Australia after economic collapse

Reading the comments people are not that bright. Greeks are one the most successful Australian minority. Greek immigration to Australia began in the early colonial period in the 19th century. The first known Greeks arrived in 1829. Many "native" Australians are actually Greeks without knowing it, as most Greeks changed their names to Australian surnames. There's also over 1000 notable Greek Australians. My mothers family has been in Australia since the early 1900's, they are of Greek roots, they changed their name from Kotsironis to Williams, surprisingly they married Greeks along the way and now they are back to having a Greek names.

A lot of countries in the EU have the same problem of young people leaving the country. Latvia has lost 20% of its population since they joined the EU in 2004, because all the young people in Latvia leave and go to rich Western European countries to make more money as soon as they graduate university. The EU only makes poor countries poorer and rich countries richer. But it kind of works out because those young people then send remittances back to Latvia from Western Europe.

Nelly must be a Christian Turk as Her family name Turkish like all other christian Turks, after Ottoman collapsed and Atatürk found new Turkey he sent all christian Turks out of Turkey with Roman Empire's christians, and didn't let Christian Turks, who staid out of new borders, to come in Turkey while any muslim Turk or not was coming in ...
