Показать описание
This video shows L929 mouse fibroblasts undergoing mitotic cell division. It clearly shows how the fibroblast rounds up into a sphere before the cell divides into two, a morphological change called mitotic cell rounding. This occurs in most animal cells during mitosis, and is believed to give the cell the intra- and extracellular space necessary to complete a successful division. Most cells in the human body are produced through mitotic cell division.

The video was captured completely label-free with HoloMonitor®. The colors were digitally added after the capture was done, and do not depend on staining of the cells in any way.
