Hurdle hop series. Great drill for learning proper loading and landing techniques. Focus point are loading into the hip to start the jump and loading into the hip upon landing. Loading into the hip will help create maximum stability and consequently, great explosion on next movement. Upon landing the knee should stay over the foot and not glide forward of the toe or fall to the inside. Loading into the hip will help the knee and ankle to move and work more efficiently. Use a basketball to start and progress to a light med ball for more difficulty.
