So I met her, she was walking by on her pink razor cellphone at the time. She look horrified when we ran up to her. But she was so sweet. She did have cuts all over her arms, even thru her tattoos & she was real thin. I was a dance major at the time so I was thin already but she was smaller than me. Her boyfriend at the time took a video of me singing her song to her, it was the black guy not Blake. I was going to Boston arts academy back then and she was performing at the Avalon that week. She invited us to her show but we were like 16 and the Avalon was a 21+ club so security didn’t let us in bc we were minors 😢we told them “Amy winehouse literally fkn invited us herself !!!????” I’m sure they didn’t believe us smh. But anyways, she looked at my sneakers and said “where can I get some sneakers for my boyfriend ??” I said “on newbury street, we’ll bring u if u like ..!”” But I couldn’t go bc my grandma was calling me to go home, she was sick at the time. I told Amy “ I gotta get home but my friends will show u..” she was real sweet and quiet forreal, she was just trying to open up to us and be friends really, I couldn’t believe how humble of a celebrity she was. Not long after meeting Amy, my grandmother died. I was looking for my Amy winehouse cd bc I was moving back in with my mom, just a depressing time. I couldn’t find the cd but a week later my grandfather called me and said “u know ur cd u was looking for, it was in ur nanas car, she liked amy winehouse too I guess lol” little did my nana know I had met her and was gonna help her shop for her mans sneakers but yea that’s my Amy story🩵
