I found a 7 thousand dollar Lewis and Clark coin when I was younger was tested and was actual gold sold it to a shop owner whom paid me a hundred dollars and said it wasn’t the real deal but with the test mark he said it meant it was fake and that if I take a close look that it was a hole meaning the acid test ate through it which wasn’t true it hadn’t he looked with his little magnification thing and showed me up close there wasn’t a hole it was a sign it was real the color come to find out and he still bought it after looking” it up …so naturally I went home and did the same and I about cried seeing them auction for so much and for anyone wondering it was a 1904 Lewis and Clark ring which he auctioned for 4 thousand something online and I know because my mom went back and was straight up with him asked him if he still had it after telling him she knew it’s actual value so he just told her right then and there I still felt a little cheated but I didn’t expect anyone to see it the way I did especially when I sold it to him for the hundred💀
