The whole idea of proposals are pretty effed up - I mean shouldn't you discuss this kind of thing prior to commitment? This is like the definition of behavior that's unhealthy in a relationship lol, and making it a public spectacle to boot. I mean if the spectacle is important why not do the healthy thing and talk about marriage and be on the same page, and then just have the presentation of the ring be a surprise, but not the proposal?
