Citroen's Basalt definitely has almost all the boxes ticked, including the areas where the C3 Aircross got a lot of flak. Many of the features the Basalt has are also being cross-ported to the C3 Aircross now, including 6 airbags, auto climate control, auto folding ORVMs, keyless entry, etc. All in all, given how well the C3 Aircross drives, if the Basalt is as good as that, it will be a very good SUV Coupe, definitely a lot better than the warmed up Baleno called the Fronx.

The Basalt and The Curvv reminds me so much of the 1st gen Swift Dzire, the rear looks like an afterthought.

Experts kindly clarify me with, why some car companies, MG(Hector), Toyota (Hycross), now Basalt go with smaller wheels when they could be fitted with bigger wheels. Does it save tax, so that the rates could be reduced?

For all the hype Basalt is going to crash spectacularly, if they are expecting to sell something based on the C3 train in the next segment as these expected pricing best of luck to them. They can see how their well priced but not well packaged C3 Aircross is faring and should have learnt a lesson. I would love to see this brand do well, they are trying hard but like other European manufacturers fail to read the Indian market

Due to the C3 engine it is going ot star at 9 lakh rs or even below that because this car can compete with alot of sub 4 meter lifted hatchbaks like nexon and xuv3xO
