SUMMARY:

Asking questions is a fantastic way for you to overcome your fear of speaking. It allows you time to get used to the situation you're in and then, you can also steal the language the other person is using.

Here are the questions you can ask. These are common in everyday English so memorize these and use them the next time you're speaking English:

- Hey, how’s it going? I’m Jack…
- Where are you from?
- Whereabouts in Spain?
- Oh, I’ve been there
- So, what do you do?
- Do you like it?
- Don’t ask about wages
- Who do you teach?
- How do you get students?
- How do you know Paul and Sarah?
- This is such a common question to ask. At a party - you both have someone in common - you both know the host / hostess / hosts
- Know that you’re going to get asked the same thing so start thinking about your answer
- How often do you go back home/ to the U.K.?
- I go back every year or so….
- Would you like to meet up sometime?
- Would you like to get a coffee and chat more about….
- Which school does [insert name] go to?
- Does he/she like it?
- Are you into …..?
- I usually ask this about football/soccer as that’s what I’m into
- This is such a good spread
- The food is amazing
- It’s been so cold today…
- Talk about my lesson on temperatures and the weather
- It’s so important to learn this
- How do you like….?

You'll notice that some of these are statements. Making quick statements also helps you when it comes to this.

Again, thank you for watching!

Hello Jack
One thing I'm very interested in about people is their hobbies and how they spend their free time. That's why I ask them: what do you do for fun?

In my opinion is vital to know how to ask questions. Even though, it depends on if you want to be polite or informal. I would prefer to use :
Would you like a cup of red wine?
Why don't we Talk about
Are you Up For learning english?
Are you willing to leave your confort zone in order to inprove ?
Great lesson Jack

I always enjoy your lessons!
When I joined a English circle, I (was) asked questions related with English learning, like, "When did you start learning English?", "How long have you been learning English?" or "Why do you learn English?"
Thank you!

Hello Jack, Hi There,
Thanks for your video. If I were likely to meet English speaking people at a party, my first question would probably be about their origine. The second would be about what they do for fun, their free time, what are their favorite bands, their favorite movies, actors etc...
Otherwise, I hope you can return to Manchester, England often.

Hello Jack, lots of congrats for your videos, they're amazing and so useful. Well, another question would be: What do you think about the weather here/in this city? Or maybe: Could we keep in touch? Obviously if there have been a previous conversation. Another question which I think is nice to ask is: And which kind of food do you love to eat? Do you have any special dish as your favourite one? Btw, I'm from Peru and appreciate what you do in each video. I hope you carry on making more, just like it. (Y)

Hi Jack, yahks for your asistance :)

If I meet people for a first time, I would say for example...

A) What's your opinion can add any information, its doesnt matter...just as you said, steal some phrases, idioms, intonation and common expressions,

B) Do you think can

C) Based in your experience...what's the best place

D) If you are a foreigner....what funny activities are a "must" in your country ?

E) in a romantic context...What crazy action you would do if you are falling in love??? :)
