Yup. That’s right

...An iron deficiency is the most common health condition in the world, and could very well be the underlying reason your hair isn’t “growing” or why it's shedding excessively.

You are the first youtuber that I've seen actually address this specifically, and informatively. That's how I know I can trust your content. Seriously thank you!

I gained weight last year like everyone else during the pandemic. I ate a lot of meals ( too much snacking too) but a ton of protein, mainly beef. My hair went from forever shoulder length to boob length in one year! Iron is KEY!!

Alot of women of colour tend to bleed more heavily on their peroids than average and will do especially if they have issues like fibroids or Endometriosis.
B12 and folate low levels are often found in people who were vegan or on a plant based diet. I saw this regularly when I worked in haematology. So if you are changing diets, its important that you do it slowly and then read and read and read so that you are replacing vital nutrients and not missing out.

As a vegan and someone who was anemic when little I have been taking iron supplements for 20 years. One and a half years ago, I stopped because I was worried of iron overload and it causing oxidation. My Iron went from 120ng to 50ng, my hair started falling out for 6 months non-stop, it was the only thing in my life that changed. I started back up with supplements 3 weeks ago, looking to get back up to 100ng, we should be between 70-100ng for growth.

Nobody talkes about iodine deficiency. It showes the same symptoms as iron deficiency. Since I take supplements with iodine, my hair is thicker and less shedding

Thank you so much. I was losing my hair for the past three years with patterned baldness. I started taking Iron pills but even the good ones made me constipated. I switched to Geritol and now my hair is growing back. I am so happy. Thanks again. Happy in North Carolina.

Over the past few weeks I've suddenly noticed my hair growing faster than it has done for about 15 years. I asked my friend (who knows a lot about hair) if she had any idea why, and she asked me if I'd been eating a lot of spinach. 5 weeks ago I added a lot of spinach to my diet, a couple of handfuls about 4 times a week, so I am putting my hair growth down to that! I can't believe the solution was that simple and I can't believe how quickly it made an impact!

THANK YOU so much for this video! You are the first person I see talking about this issue and explaining it so clearly. EVERYBODY kept telling me to use biotin and "take care" of my hair properly. I've always taken extra care of my hair. My issue has been iron ALL ALONG, I have had severe iron deficiency for years without knowing it. I wish I saw your video years ago. It took me 3+years to figure it out.

I was wondering why I suddenly started buying and eating dark chocolate, which I read had iron. I was never a chocolate eater before. Also, been drinking a lot a tea which I discovered leaches minerals from the body if taken in excess. My hair growth rate is extremely slow.

Even more people have Omega-3 deficiency. Especially in the USA. Now when it comes to hair loss, it usually is iron Vitamin D. The more melanin a person has, the higher the risk is for them to have a vitamin D deficiency.

I started taking iron supplements recently because i had a sneaking suspicion i was iron deficient (as i have also suffered from anaemia in the past).
Suddenly my hair started growing like crazy. My hair has literally been the same length since July when i got my hair cut to chin level. Now its reaching my collarbones within a couple of weeks of taking the iron supplements. My hairline is also growing back now finally.
I can’t believe i didn’t realise this was the problem all along. Literally it was so simple. I waisted so much time and money on all these fancy hair supplements that didn’t work.
I also want to point out that my weight loss triggered my anaemia as in the past i also suffered from iron deficiencies whenever i lost a good amount of weight. I guess because we are eating less our bodies don’t always get all the vitamins and minerals we need through food. So its important to top up your diet with vitamin supplements if this is the case.
When you don’t have enough iron in your body. your body cannot produce the Hemoglobin in your blood. Hemoglobin is responsible for carrying oxygen for growth and repair of cells in your body, including the cells that stimulate hair growth.
