How to set up single tap to answer or reject phone calls on your device running android Pie

Here is how to setup your android device running Pie (android version 9) to answer or reject phone calls with a single tap.

It used to be an option in earlier versions of Android to select "Replace swipe with single tap" directly from "Interaction and Dexterity". But in my Galaxy A14, you need to go to Settings > Accessibility > Interaction and dexterity then open > Assistant menu > then turn on "Replace swipe with single tap to swipe" (to respond to alarms, alerts, and incoming calls by tapping instead of swiping). You then need to select for Allow Assistant Menu. This last action comes with some caveats and apparently places a floating icon on the Home screen. I would prefer to be able to turn on "Replace swipe with single tap to swipe" independently from having to allow the Assistant Menu in order to access this function.

Its a PHONE so why is it so fuking difficult to answer a PHONE call ?

Looks like android changed this again. Answering is such a pain. Which way do I swipe this month? Left? Right? Up? Tap? None seem to work very well anymore.

Well done I have struggled with this since getting my A40 and even the merchant couldn't fix it and gave me a replacement handset with the same issue

There is no option under "accessibility" for Interaction and Dexterity, so what do I do? I cannot find this anywhere on my Motorola G7 Play phone.

On my Samsung s8, I had to enable the "Assistant Menu" to find the ' Single Tap to Swipe ' feature.

One problem I have is answering a call whilst Im playing a game. A box comes up with an answer or dont answer, I try to swipe it but it doesnt answer, I try pressing it but nothing so I end up missing the call.

So those of us that don't have your phone can't do this then? I have to get in a car crash to answer my phone?
Why do you phone people accept this, I don't get it. Never use phones, get a call and it says swipe. I sit there swiping for 20 seconds and can't answer the call.
Really? How is it not push a button to accept call as the standard? Why doesn't my phone have any option?

It's not the same in a Pixel phone now. I wish it was but that is not in the newest android versions.
