The only annoying thing I have with FC3 is the lack of training for all the models. Seeing as this is marketed as a started pack the in-game training only covers the Russian planes and not the A10 and F-15, not exactly beginner friendly

My personal opinion after buying the F15C and Su33 module:
Su33 is 300% easier in terms of AA combat.Both BVR and Dogfight.Just press the (3) key, activate radar, smash enter and boom you got a target locked.Just close in so that the missles are in range and then fire.In terms of maneuverability, i often got blackouts due to 'overmaneuvering'.Which means it is insanely good at dogfights.But the R-27ER and ET have somewhat shorter range than the AMRAAM (idk if this is true, just my feelings).Landing on a carrier took me an hour to do.But soon after that, i could land without looking at the HUD or instruments.
The 'Super maneuverability' mode or Direct Control mode is pretty much useless except you're fighting a Raptor or a Fulcrum.It's just for airshows and showing off to your friends

The F15C meanwhile, is very hard to master.Especially the radar. Once i got a lock, it just fires the gun.You have to RAlt+D for severak seconds to fire the missile.Not gonna forgive it for now.I dont know about landing the aircraft since i never even shot down an aircraft.The only reason i bought this module is to fly the Raptor lololol

Being a veteran of FC back in LOMAC I really appreciate FC3. They're the reason I started playing DCS and are still some of my favorite planes. I'm a Flanker pilot at heart and really enjoy my F-15.

I only started playing DCS about a month ago and I bought FC3 because it included multiple jets and it’s simplified learning curve. Been having a lot of fun with it. Probably going to buy F-16C after it gets released as it’s my favorite jet in real life. And it’s such a capable multi-role aircraft. I do wish FC3 had more training tutorials for each jet

FC3 is just awesome, I don't have to deal with lost of mouse clicking to fire a missile. FC3 got me playing again, this game is the best sandbox for its own.

Great video. I remember the Su-27, Su-33, and Mig-29 did have some bugs as ED got their flight model sorted out. But since that's been done I think there's just a slight bug with the ground avoidance auto pilot (that might have been fixed already).


I noticed a lot of people saying the F-15 is their favorite. Mine has got to be the Mig-29. It's small, it's fast, it's maneuverable and it has that great IRST to track your targets without letting them know you're there. The 27 and 33 are just too big and can be spotted easier than the 29.

Tom Clancys book, Fighter Wing, describes a trip a researcher took. He was doing research for the book for Mr. Clancy.
He describes the whole two hour process in prep for the flight and then once in the plane the engines started they begin to taxi. He is freaked out because the plane bucked and galloped on the ground. With a rhythmic thumping. The pilot explained that the aircraft had been sitting for about two weeks and the steel chords in the tires had flattend a bit and molded a flat spot internally. As the tires ran and they moved to the end of the runway the tired smoothed back out and the ride was butter smooth. Think of that

You can make your plane louder by turning down some of the other sound settings. It’s a simple fix that takes seconds. I can hear all my planes easily.
