Faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God good job brother. Keep exposing these people who teach works is required for salvation.

This is profound brother. For years with a misunderstanding that I have to "pray the right way" or even "feel the right feelings". In the end, there is no perfect prayer a man can pray, or perfect feelings that man can feel (none of us should depend on feelings or emotions regarding salvation). For years I have been trying to have "that" encounter with God through praying repetitious, ritualistic forms of the "sinner's prayer" for many years. I'm at a place where I still struggle with demonic attacks and OCD. I'm still doubting my salvation as I type, but I have to fix my heart, mind, and soul on Christ and the Gospel that saves. It's Christ, not my feelings, emotions, thoughts, doubts, or anything of me. Please pray for me, brethren. It's like I have my faith and my doubts (or perhaps even unbelief) playing tug of war within me, tearing me apart every single day. Please pray for me!

I think the sinners prayer can be useful as a formal confession of belief for someone to "mark" the day that they believed in Christ, but the sinners prayer is far from necessary to receive grace from Jesus. As long as someone places their hope in Christ alone, they are saved.

True.
But Jesus gave the instance of the Piblixan and the Pharisee. The aPublican spoke to Heaven and bet his great saying “Be Mercidul to me a sinner”. Jesus said he got into Heaven ahead of the proud doer that lacked faith. I see that as the original sinners prayer off Jesus ‘ lips.

Its a waste of time to attack the sinner's prayer. I have a customized prayer i use to lead people and its just that - prayer. I tell them their faith has made them saved but I use my prayer as also a form of confession (Jesus is Lord) and its a real prayer that covers their journey.

On further inspection you were right Ono. Cornelius got saved by Peter’s preaching (Acts 11) not prior to it as I previously claimed. Still, When Cornelius heard and believed he magnified God speaking in tongues, which is confessing the Lord with your mouth. So the point still stands, as stated by Romans 10:9-13

It was all signs that the non jews were included in the plan of salvation. Pryer to that the jews were preached to. God showed Peter the non jews are now to be preached to for their salvation.
