To be fair, whenever a skin is sold with both a backbling and a pickaxe, they usually cost 1600 instead of the usual 1500 (for an epic skin, when cosmetic rarities were still a thing). If it's only 800 for the skin and 800 for the bb + pickaxe combo, it adds up to the usual 1600 anyway... Splitting it is better so you can have options, if you only want the skin or if you only want the other items, you're not forced to spend extra v-bucks on an item you won't use.

The backbling might be separate considering how it essentially just IS the pickaxe with a small bag. Its sorta like the pickaxes with emotes attached to equip them.

The only good thing that really came out of this shop was the Octoberfest set. I love it when that set returns.

The separate skin and backbling + pickaxe total up to 1600 vbucks which is usually the cost of a skin bundled with a pickaxe. I suppose epic’s though process was that some people might just want the skin so they sell it separately and if you want the pickaxe at a later date it’d be the same as just buying it together with older skins
