Patch Notes for Smite Patch 5.19, release patch of Hera and her minion Argus. Hera, Zeus' wife heavily revolves around summoning her pet Argus with her ultimate and lowering its cooldown through abilities. This patch also includes a Mercury nerf and a small Freya nerf.

I love how they said that people on Twitter were excited about the Ullr skin, yet when you look at the actual replies on their tease everyone is complaining about another tech skin lmao. It's like they really don't listen.

Potential HERA Changes (that might make her actually viable and satisfying to play as)
All suggestions can be considered or removed.

1st Skill: Royal Assault
> Middle Section does Bonus Damage + Stun.
> Middle Section is much more possible to hit (bigger)
> Decrease the delay between the cone attack and spawning portals
> Cone Effect does a slow or small knockback on Gods.
> Increase Base Stats/Scaling

2nd Skill: Polymorph
> Has a slow effect
> Faster casting animation
> Increase projectile speed
> Increase Base Stats/Scaling

3rd Skill: Divine Shroud
> Increase Base Scaling
> Immune to Slows (CC?)
> Argus also gains a shield (?)

4th Skill: Argus, The Defender
> Increase AOE & Increase Cooldown
Argus Attack Chain
> Leap + AOE Slam Attack (First Attack) (Slows?)
> Every 3 basic attacks does a Line Knockup Attack
Argus Base Stats
> More Tanky than Agressive
Note: To make Argus do CC so Hera could do the work.

The 3 really reminds me of the old Nox 1 shroud of Darkness where you'd take 80% less damage on the next instance of damage

I agree with Incon's assessment, Hera seems more a solo god than mid, and in my opinion if she had anymore CC she would even make a good support. There tick rate on her shield with Argus seems like Khepri's 2, about every 0.3 seconds and since its an ability it should work with Gem of Iso. Also if they can avoid legal problems I would like to see a Big Daddy/Little Sister skin.

If Hera gets Argus, Zeus should get Hecatoncheir. Also, add Surtr to Smite (as a playable god this time)

Now I feel bad for asking in harassment report mail (that I send +/- 30 minutes before patch notes, unless I messed up hours and it was that much after notes started) why pings can't be silenced along with targeted player.

Finally a Bakasura skin that changes his model (instead of mainly just changing his textures), that also wasn't made in beta.

Also, I'm really worried that Hera's "Yes, great" will make her a toxic players frequent pick.

And could Argus end up like Bastets cats (deadly early, unimpactful late)?

Oh, and that part about targeting with pets, does that mean other gods with pets will get that before seasons end?

I think her shield needs to be a bit better, if she doesn't have a escape it should give protections or something so she isn't just free farm early to mid

I made a popular post on reddit about suspecting that the mercury skin would be a Deku/Midoriya skin, i am not dissapointed but i had higher hopes. His ult could have had more eletricity and epicness, considering its a shonen inspired skin, a genre that is the embodimemt of epicness.
