It surprises me that the #1 selling action camera in the world, which has been around for so long, still has the clunkiest user interface ever!

I still cannot find this looping option, or the plus for adding custom presets. I'm wondering if it has been removed with firmware updates since this was recorded.

On the fishing usage, my gopro volta grip came with a replacement battery door and combined with the volta USB cable having a rubber gasket, I think it makes it pretty close to waterproof if not waterproof. The volta grip is equivilent to 2.5 batteries so between that and the built in battery it should net almost 5 hours of 4K30fps video in loop mode. I am going to test it out on my kayak soon and I think I can get away with turning hypersmooth off since its mounted to a boat that isnt shaking/hand held. Hypersmooth off might gain more battery life and less over heating.

continiues power source of power usage is available with w replacement battery door that has an opening for the power cord and does not require you to remove the battery. It will however make the camera none waterproof. It will allow the camera to be charging when off as well. I use mine as a dash cam and if I need waterproof mode I change the door back to the one that came with the camera. Spare door costs about 12 dollrs US.

Does it allow you to film 4k at higher than 30fps? When i switch to 60fps it brings it down to 1080p

Unfortunately, looping in my gopro hero 10 black doesn't work properly and I don't know what to do about it. It records first 5 minutes movie and the camera stops recording the next one. Does anyone know how to fix it?

What's a real bummer is that hindsight doesn't really work. You have to keep your screen on which even with external battery, it gets very hot. GoPro as of yet hasn't updated it so that you can use Hindsight with the screen off (screensaver enabled). Otherwise Hindsight would be amazing, just power on, go, fish, when you get a hook set, push the start button and it picks up 15 or 30 seconds prior to that, so no super long record times. But, GoPro in its wisdom makes it mostly non usable.

Ps...there us a door with a hole in it you can buy to switch out.
