People seem to missunderstand the demo. The woman is the robot :-)

The thumbnail is diabolical, and I'm here for it

Scot is also brilliant and I look forward to listen to him.

I’ll believe it when I can buy it on Amazon.

The number of people on X claiming it's a guy in a robot suit alone indicates that this is a very impressive H-bot demo. I thought Eve was a promising approach. But Neo is groundbreaking. OK, so maybe Neo was bolted to the floor a couple of tasks instead of freestanding, but so cool. Let's see it washing its hands in the sink next.

Surprised you haven’t mentioned the white cable yet! Maybe no battery, powered by wire …. Looks like a long way to go yet but good so far! The home seems like such a complicated environment. I can’t imagine the training it will take to do all the task inside of a home. But I am sure someday they will tackle all this and it will be great.

Bots in the factory is a much simpler problem than bots in the home. It is also much higher return on investment.

Watch it shut the cabinet with a push and release, Just the right pressure!

If a bot is trained in various industrial settings, then that is similar to learning in various home environments. Industrial use cases have much more cost savings to be had. Not sure if going to the home first is mandatory.

The Kitchen looks like it could be an Ikea Kitchen to me.
And heck, it is really hard to look at it and not think there's a person inside, isn't it?

Before wooden floors and carpets were invented cottage floors were just dirt. Bushels of wheat were beaten with articulated sticks to get the wheat seeds off, This was called threshing. The remaining stalks, the "thresh" was thrown on the dirt floors as something soft and insulation against the cold floor. To keep the thresh inside the cottage a board was placed across the bottom of the doorway to hold the thresh in. The thresh hold, or "theshold". This is what you carry your bride over when you first bring her into your house (which is another story). Yes, it helps to keep draughts out as well. They are also found in American buildings and I had to take them out of my mother-in-laws apartment so she could move about in her wheelchair.

That's not a robot, that's a human inside the suit.

Looks kind of TOTALLY like a person in a suit.

If it's a person in a suit, it's the first time I've seen a human with one-inch wrists. Not to mention, that would also imply an accusation against Bernt of criminal fraud.

We need a meme for this, Scooby doo ending, ok it was a guy in a suit

Maybe they are using nitinol actuators? That would explain the low power consumption, low weight, silent movement, and compact tendon drives.

5 stars for really smooth fluid motion. However it appears to be fixed in place, indicating it cannot walk at this point. Nevertheless impressive demo of bot arriving at homes. Very good choice

Can't help but notice the handles on the kitchen cabinets. All are using a design that is easy to grasp. In the real world, many cabinets don't even have handles.

I wonder if Herbert knows what that thumbnail represents!? 🤣

EDIT: So Herbert finally understood what his original thumbnail showed and he changed it. 😉
