Making a Comic Page - Up and Ahead

Program Used - Photoshop CC

Hey guys! How have you been?

So I was browsing through some old videos and found this. I recorded it while I was still working on the Up and Ahead comic! Thought it would be nice to share - this is how I make my comic pages.

Some minor steps are missing because I, typically, forgot to record them, but if you have any doubts about the process or are working on a comic yourself, hit me up on the comments!

I've always drawn and all, but comic artists absolutely blow my mind! It's hard enough for me to make 1 finished piece, and making multiple fully colored, detailed individual pieces for every single panel for hundreds of panels is INSANE to me! Your effort is incredible!

A lot of people talk about your drawings and your drawings are absolutely amazing but the backgrounds! Oh. My. GOD. When you put the shadows when Steban was jumping out of the window, BRILLIANT! IT LOOKS AMAZING!

This is amazing as always!
I always admired your art style, I discovered it when I was like 11 or 12 haha, by watching a fan dub of Over the Mountains and Far Away.

I love how you do the outline and the expressions with the emotions, it inspires me a lot haha.
Also the cell shading, I'm trying so hard to learn that.
Can't wait for more art to come!! I really want to see more because I'm always looking on your deviantart page.

BTW if I may ask, when you do cell shading do you use black and lower the opacity? Or do you use a dark shade of purple or red?

Dude, I gotta thank you. You got me into animating and making comics with Shut Eye and Blue Blood. I know that this seems meaningless, but I can't express my graditude in mere words. I'm making a comic now based off a video game I played as a kid, and I owe all of that to you. You are really awesome man. Keep up the incredible work.

This is so cute, and teaches us a lot about how Skailla animates, makes comics, and draws! This is so cool great job! Honestly sometimes I think you work at Disney Studios XD

Nice job! It's interesting to know the process behind, especially how you did the panels, and the final result looks great!
