Life hack: whenever you are going to agree to a terms and conditions agreement, bring another person into the room and start reading the terms until that person threatens you to click accept and then you can claim duress, invalidating the terms and conditions.

A man getting his wrongful death case threatened to be dismissed just because he signed up for Disney Plus has to be the most stupidest and scummiest thing I ever heard.

I'm under 18 and I've signed the Disney plus agreement. A minor should not be allowed to give up the right to take something to court for life because their decision was likely uneducated.

Fun fact, McDonalds has the same thing in their app. I know it's a meme to clown on the woman who sued them for spilling hot coffee on her lap, but that was actually a very serious case and she desperately needed the money for medical treatment. If you have the McDonalds app and get sick from an allergen, hurt yourself from badly prepared food, or even just trip on a toy from a happy meal and break your leg, this is the same argument they'll likely use.

What makes this funnier is that Disney could've swept this under the rug by simply paying what basically amounts to pocket change for them to Mr. Piccolo. By instead fighting back, they alerted the whole world to this Faustian clause of theirs and created a PR mess, which I'm pretty sure is far harder to clean up than a financial one.

It is crazy thinking about how consumers can unknowingly sign away their rights by just clicking 'I agree'. It's important to scrutinize every terms of service no matter how tedious or trivial it may seem. It might just save us from legal pitfalls in the future.
