According to legend, while Zeus was gazing down at the earth from among the clouds, he saw Leda, the wife of King Tyndareus of Sparta, and was captivated by her beauty. After spotting Leda alone by a river, Zeus took the form of a swan to approach her and be with her. That same night, Leda also lay with King Tyndareus. As a result of these events, Leda bore two sets of twins: Castor and Clytemnestra from King Tyndareus, and Pollux and Helen from Zeus.

According to the myth, Pollux and Helen are the immortal children of Zeus, while Castor and Clytemnestra are the mortal children of Tyndareus. Despite both Castor and Pollux being exceptional warriors, Castor was killed in a battle. Stricken with grief over his brother's death, Pollux begged his father Zeus: "Dear father, do not separate me from my brother!" Touched by his son's plea, Zeus placed both of them among the stars as the constellation Gemini. Thus, Castor and Pollux became the symbols of the Gemini constellation.

Is it just me or does anyone else find it weird that she’s bang’n a swan? Isn’t that illegal or at least frowned upon a little bit
