If running only a random long wire into this (no grounding), does it matter which side to place the wire? No indications on the terminals that I can see.

Could you please show how to connect an antenna to it and what that antenna should look like? A dipole, or a single wire and ground? They never show how to hook it up. You don't have to cover every frequency, but showing us a setup that is useful would be cool.

One thing I don’t get about this product, currently sat on my table: in the config it comes from the factory, how is a 9:1 balun useful for a dipole? Is that for people using 450 ohm ladder line to feed it?

I’ll be cutting the track at R1 and making it an UnUn, at which point it becomes useful to me

Edit: yes it is! I feel that needs to be clearer in the product description, I was about to just chuck wire on the end of each terminal, but that’d be 73 Ohm I guess

I just transmitted with mine, 0.2-0.3 watts worked fine, 0.5 watts *appeared* to work fine. Someone may want to sacrifice one to test this for longer and at other powers, but I’ve just done three FT8 QSOs with it. Also some WSPR.

An FT8 QSO at 300mW is… a challenge. But doable.

Nice! How does it compare against the previous version of the NooElec Balun One Nine? Does it do a better job?

Where you bought it with case? Amazon doesn´t sell it with case neither Nooelec.
