Juz means 'part'. The Qur'an is divided into 30 parts and Ustadh's bn selecting amd explaining an ayah (verse) or 2 from each juz everyday ths Ramadan.

Can't even begin to tell you QW, how absolutely amazing this series is. And can't thank Ustadh and QW enough. Making loads of dua for ya'll! Jazakumullahu khairan katheeeeran. I'm going to miss it so much after Ramadan! Def. Gonna re-watch them all, such precious lessons subhanAllah. SO Wish we cud hv ustadh explaining an ayah EVERY day of the year!

Mashallah, what a great message. But I differ in the commentary that you gave upon the ayah ‘اعْلَمُوا أَنَّ اللَّهَ يُحْيِي الْأَرْضَ بَعْدَ مَوْتِهَ "Know that Allah quickeneth the earth after its death." You say that it's like winter turning into spring, however I believe that Allah is talking about the Earth during its early stages. The Earth was devoid of life, but then Allah put life on it. This ayah not only shows Allah's might, but also reaffirms that the Quran is true by hard science.

In a hadith recorded in Saheeh Muslim, Zaid bin AlqamRadhi Allahu Anhunarrated that the Prophet sal Allahu alayhi wa sallam used to supplicate:
Allahumma inni a’udhu bika min ‘ilmin la yanfa’u wa min qalbin la yakhsha’u wa min nafsin la tashba’u wa min da’watin la yustajabu laha
“O Allah, I seek refuge in You from knowledge which does not benefit, from a heart that does not entertain the fear(of Allah), from a soul that is not satisfied and the supplication that is not answered.”
