OMG!! High Speed Fighter Jets Blast Blowing People Away

A jet fighter can fly at many speeds, from takeoff or stall speed (maybe 120–200 mph) to the fastest jet speed, about Mach 3.5 or about 2650 mph for the fastest known jet fighters.

No one was being blown away by these jet blasts. The only things that were being blown away were those tents at the beach which was kind of funny. They looked like kites for a breif moment at 0:24, but I enjoyed watching this. I would love to ride in one of those stunt planes as a passenger.

Fighter jets can't fly up to 2, 650 mph, the fastest fighter jets have a top speed of around 2, 000 mph if that. But nearly all fighter jets cruise at speeds between 400 and 500 mph, even planes like the F-22 which have supercruise don't actually cruise at supersonic speed. The term "supercruise" is misleading as it means a plane can achieve supersonic speeds without using afterburners, so theoretically the F-22 can cruise at Mach 1< but it still isn't designed to go that fast for prolonged periods of time. I've been told this by various fighter pilots and airline flight crew I've ran into over the years. One air traffic controller told me that the 747 cruises faster than any current military plane and that the only military planes that cruise faster than the 747 are retired planes like the SR-71. The 747 is among the fastest in the world but if there's something the 747 can't do, it's being able to fly at transonic speeds only a few hundred feet up. Great video!
