'Ukraine will make Nato stronger' - Zelensky addresses crowd at international summit

Volodymyr Zelensky has branded Nato “absurd” for refusing to offer Ukraine a timetable for membership into the military alliance.

The Ukrainian president said he learned of the “unprecedented” decision while en route to the annual Nato summit in the Lithuanian capital in Vilnius.

He also accused Nato members of planning to use Ukraine’s bid for membership as a bargaining chip in negotiations with Russia, in a rare public attack on his closest allies.
