Sweet's lost German concert! Filmed in 1974 during rehearsals for a TV show that was never broadcast, this is a unique recording showing the band's raw energy and musicianship. The whole concert is available on the DVD "Sweet Action".

Nice! He plays with such feeling, yet he's also technically EXCELLENT! I've always admired how Sweet--as a band, and also as individual musicians--could play all types of music and leave the competition behind in a trail of glorious fire! Well done, Monsieur Scott!

Now that all of these are done and over with, you should do some more song of the month stuff. Or give us footage from the concert at the rainbow in 73!
I would absolutely love a video detailing how you guys did your backing vocals. Such an unbelievably unique sound, that I haven't figured out.

Jazzy chords - Overdrive & delay pedal - Then the first notes of the German national Hymne.
I actually anticipated more .. But then again, i love it when Andy strumms those jazz licks.
I suppose this was the last part of the DVD that got uploaded to YT and i can`t express how grateful i am that all parts got shared!! Thank you very much!!!
Btw, bubbles???

Andy, a great guitarist, he can also play the German national anthem 😉. The soap bubbles I find silly, the obstruct the view of this artist.

The funky part comes from the end of “Heartbreak Today” from the 1974 album “Sweet Fanny Adams”, incidentally one of their strongest albums, if not the strongest ever, on which they composed most of the songs themselves and were not written by Chinn & Chapman as usual. The bubbles can clearly be traced back to the 1970s. That was in back then!
