Here’s an example with real numbers: 

A customer on Etsy buys your product and shipping for a total of $30

Your order processes with Printful or Printify and costs you $20 for both the product and the shipping

Your profit is $10 (not accounting for Etsy fees).

Printful or Printify will charge you $20, but Etsy will send you the full $30 (minus the fees)

My biggest question is: How do you file for taxes as an individual when the sales revenue you make at Etsy is not really the gross profits you make since the production cost with shipping was so high. Which is 3-5 days after Etsy payment but the credit card charges to your Printify are instant. Hopefully you have enough for bigger orders to cover.

A question for you..., my concern is all of a sudden I'm successful (I know, good problem to have) and I get 100's of orders..., let's say cost to produce & ship is $20's that's like a $2, 000 upfront cost on a credit card - are my expectations distorted somehow? Is there a rational way to approach & solve this "dilemma"...? - thanks, Stephen.
