After their face saving (read defeat) ceasefire in Lebanon, they are now trying to show two things:
1. That Hezbollah hides weapons in civilian areas. Hence, targeting civilians in any future war is kosher.
2. That they had made inroads into Lebanon. They got nowhere near the Litany river. They were stopped in their tracks and succeeded in capturing a handful of villages which were initially bombed with their usual ruthlessness.
3. The cease-fire called for return of Lebanese refugees to Southern Lebanon but didn't say *anything* about return of Israeli refugees from the cities from which they were chased out by Hezbollah.
