Ernie Chambers -- Through the Years. In this hourlong program about the the longest-serving legislator in Nebraska history, NET News legislative reporter Fred Knapp asks Chambers about subjects including growing up in Omaha, his involvement with the Civil Rights movement, his election to the Legislature, his efforts for district elections to increase Black representation, to abolish the death penalty, to divest from South Africa, and to pay college athletes, along with some of his more controversial statements, for example, comparing police to ISIS in the course of condemning racism.

I grew up with Ernie Chambers. If you lived in Nebraska You knew who he is and what he stood for. He is not a Politician, he’s a man with his point of view being heard. He helped a lot of people

That guy Fred Knapp is totally biased. I know Mr. Chambers had to be annoyed by his comments.
