Delta Airlines was one of the main users of Boeing aircraft since it started in 1970, beginning with the iconic Boeing 747. However, in recent years, Delta has been gradually shifting towards Airbus instead of Boeing aircraft. Here's Why.

Delta's been shifting to Airbus for years.

The Boeing incidents have NOTHING TO DO with Delta Airline's decisions to go mostly with Airbus. In fact, Deltas last order of Boeing aircraft was the 737 - 900s. Delta also has recently placed an order for MAX 10 aircraft.
This video is slandee. Nany of the issues mentioned are maintenance issues not manufacturing issues. Not that Boeing doesn’t have manufacturing issues, but this is senseless piling on.

Let's not forget that Delta has operated Airbus aircraft before , even years before their merger with Northwest Airlines!!! In the early 90s Delta had some A310s which they inherited from the assets that they purchased from Pan Am

Is it only me that fells like boeing is getting to much criticism ? I mean not all those are Boeing fault they don’t make there Engine and the wheels falling off are a maintenance problem but still there at fault for some stuff

Not only that, to the best of my knowledge, all of Delta's A330s (correct me if I'm wrong) and A350s have one thing in common - power by Rolls-Royce. The A330s, including the -900s, are the first Rolls-Royce-powered aircraft in Delta's fleet since the Lockheed L-1011 TriStar.

The video rightfully states that the Airbus affinity of DELTA took a boost with the takeover of Northwest Airlines when they inherited their A330 fleet. It should be added however, that DELTA also got nearly 140 A320 series airliners from this transaction. DELTA started to order A321 aircraft in 2013 (along with 10 additional A330-300), and signed up for the first 25 each of the A330neo and A350 already in 2014. That was a decade BEFORE the recent incidents documented in the (otherwise quite good) film. But Airbus was not granted a monopoly - instead DELTA opted for the then-Bombardier C-Series in 2016 when loooking for a new small narrowbody (to later replace the 717, smallish 737-700 and maybe A319). It was by chance that Airbus could swallow this product line, which lets the DELTA fleet setup today look more Airbus-heavy than it was intended.

Bye Bye Boeing, that company is so screwed.

How did the initial groundings of the 787 affect Delta when Delta had no 787 in service let alone on order as it cancelled the Northwest Airlines order of these aircraft after its merger?

B-S info. You are generalizing. There is a BIG difference between a design flaw, that one is Boeing's fault indeed, engines are NOT a Boeing product that one is responsibility of RR, P&W or GE and none are responsible for the maintenance both airframe and engine receive. That one is the operator's responsibility.

I love Boeing. Emirates, the Boeing's largest operator is the largest widebody operator! There is a Probability that Delta is my Least favourite airline. Delta Would operate the A330Neos instead of 787s and A350s instead of 777X. I would Choose Singapore Airlines instead of both Delta and Lufthansa for A350s.

Delta moved towards airbus for their wide body fleet for a while now. This isn’t new news. And I’m fairly sure delta ordered some 737 max 10s or one of the other models.

These are 95% maintenance issues by the airline not Boeing.

The hell boeingdoesn’t design or make their own engines so you can’t say anything about the engines.

Delta never flew a Airbus till the merger with Northwest Airlines and most like wouldn’t till this day and this shift to Airbus has been happening sense 2010
*Edit:* I Forgot to mention Delta Airlines currently has an outstanding *order* for *100 Boeing 737 MAX 10* aircraft.

Too much unjustified Boeing bashing in this video. Speaking of design issues up front, than listing all sorts of maintenance related incidents suggesting they would be Boeing’s fault. If a 20 year old aircraft is loosing a wheel or experiencing an engine desintegration, this is most likely NOT a design or manufacturing error.
