#14 How to Import Textures into Unreal Engine 4 | UE4 Tutorial

In this part of my Unreal Engine 4 Beginners Tutorial, I'll show you how import texture files to your project ready to update the material in the next video.

go to the marketplace in epic games and look up grass, and there will be grass textures that show up, you can find higher or lower prices using the tag section to the right.

How do I convert a png/jpg texture into a .uasset? After multiple attempts, they fail to import and become .uasset even after I move them into my textures folder.

Hi, I know this is a super old video but I just started watching cause I really want to get into creating my own games. I got stuck because of the textures. Where do you get textures from? As I don't have any money to buy them from sites or unfortunately pledge any money so. I've tried to look for free ones on the internet but to no avail. Could you make the tutorials a little longer? Since you are only posting once a week, I feel like the videos should be at least 5-6 minutes long so they are more consistent. I don't see the point of making a separate video just for importing the textures. Honestly, anyone could have figured that out by themselves

The issue with your video is that we have to pay you to get the images for the materials in your tutorial. This for me is a waste of time for nothing. You should have said something at the beginning of the tutorial.
