For security, instead of face google can identify with fingerprint or a retina scan. Which can be stored in google id of everyone with one time scan.

I really can't wait for this Handsfree feature to come to my phone. I don't care if it takes off or not as long as I'm able to use it, ill be using it everyday!

I think there's a reason it's taken so long for this to have come out, too many security risks. But if Google find a way to get rid of them I think this will be one of the best ideas yet

Sounds good, but I also think that security would be a big issue.

having used to work in the payments industry and can tell you now Google Hands Free will never be approved by the card schemes, retailers, consumers or the PCI body. Paypal have tried similar things and failed. too much risk for all involved.

DEFINITELY will be security concerns BUT this is the kind of convenience and functionally mobile payments needs. I really hope the security/convenience balance can be met.

its sad at how hard companies and these Infomercials make doing simple tasks like paying with cash or a card really is, as to mobile payments there needs to be a unified system like Japan, not 50 different types of mobile payments for each company that makes a phone, thats what bothers people and turns them off of it because they have to figure out which stores do/dont support it

Perhaps another level of security with a Windows Hello style recognition? Either way, this really is the future of mobile payments and maybe (with a few additions) it could be used to find lost phones (with small info left after factory resets?)

Some stores will make it mandatory for you have to sign something/ show your ID for verification which will beat the whole purpose of hands free, like they already do with Google wallet anyway.
