You're great for taking it on yourself and there's nothing really obvious about it.

A few thoughts:

1. Regarding Stephen,
While I'm sure that is an awesome guy, and clearly very talented, the fact that he is very nice and approachable for questions, while being appreciated and all, doesn't really dispel the heavy thick fog of the consistent wonder:
What went wrong with this guy's vision or designing process or creation process -
That this baby of his needed so many clarifications, so many versions, so many questions, so much frustration and despair from gamers who got lost in order fulfill their humble desire of giving this game a chance..?

2. What do you think of this game replay value?

3. Are there any other games from the last years which blew your mind with their uniqueness?

Can I buy this expansion and play without buying the base game?

Yeah played it few times and got rid of it.
The worst thing about this game is the playing cards for a map. Just ridiculous and makes the whole layout of this game enormous.
