Greetings from the San Francisco Bay Area!
I love my meloformis. In the California summer sun it gets those purple zig zag marks:). Idk if you know this, you probably do, but woody pieces on your meloformis are the dried out stems from the old flowers. I sometimes try to remove them and they’re really stuck, even after years. So I stopped trying to fight them and now they stay.
I keep my E. obesa, E. meloformis, and E. globosa together because they cross pollinate really easy.

A very nice meloformis ! Repotted mine last month . and yes I have many old cacti that show corking or what I call " bark" and the plants bloom and grow, perfectly healthy!

Kanzi is a great cameraman it must be the artistic side of him. He should always do the filming you move too fast. I have subscribed to Hans he's Channel and I never get any notification of his videos.
