Our small #island developing states (SIDS) are facing an existential threat. We are on the frontlines of the #climatecrisis.
Worsening #climatechange impacts are causing losses and damages at a staggering cost.
For decades, AOSIS has fought for a dedicated #LossAndDamageFund to assist the most vulnerable communities, and finally we are on the brink of having this fund operationalised.
The decision to formalize a Fund that is fit for purpose for #SIDS will be in the hands of our world leaders this December at #COP28.
We are asking all people of the world - stand with us, stand up for SIDS, and amplify the call to operationalise a robust Loss and Damage Fund at COP28!
