My dad's first car was a 1973 Pontiac Lemans. It was the car my parents started dating in and the first car I can remember riding in. They had 5 kids and the car was lost somewhere along the way. We gave it back.
Thanks for the shares!

I love how she said “brings back memories” and they both look at the back seat! What a fantastic car. Wonderful!

The answer to the question, '' how do you know if you've raised your kids right in a loving environment'' has been answered . Feeling the love.

This exact model and color was my first car. My ex-husband loved it and modified it so that it would GO.
The inside of the trunk was covered with high-end parts decals. I can’t recommend speeding like we did to anyone, but I’ll never forget the thrill of really driving that purring car.

Way to go you guys. Loved it. Since my parents have now passed away all I can say is to keep taking care of them, enjoying your time with them, and sharing your love with them. We take for granted that they will always be here for us, because they always have been. But that is not the case, unfortunately.

What a great looking car! I had a 73 in high school. Mine was a crap box but I loved it.

I believe the Dad's reaction through most of this is shock and disbelief. His baby steps, and manner of approach, seems as if he is trying to process the moment, but his emotions are getting in the way. As a father, I can imagine how this must moment feel for him. It's not easy for us, fathers that is, to become overwhelmed with emotion, and process events because emotions will create a bit of a struggle; especially when it's a huge moment such as this. This is a very sweet moment.... And, a clear indication that this is a loving family.

There is no way to measure the love of these kids for their parents. It's the car, but it's the thought and heartfelt caring that's really what makes this gift worthwhile. God bless all....

This is one of the most thoughtful displays of love I have ever seen. Mom and Dad are remarkable people to have raised such beautiful loving children. The gift is not the car. The gift is the love that went into the idea of rewarding their parents for the sacrifices they made from appreciative and loving children. May your own children have the same ideals that your Mom and Dad instilled in you. May the Lord bless this family for many more generations. THANK YOU for sharing your love with the world.

That was my first nice car. I bought it in 1976. Same color's White/blue and white interior. It didn't have the cut outs on the hood. Man what a chick magnet. I still love that car. Wish I had it back.

Restoring a car is expensive and a lot of work. They must be wonderful parents! They obviously raised their kids right! Congratulations to this family!

I see 13 dislikes????
How could you not like a family with this much love? You don't like his car? SO what that ain't the point. Love the gift.

Peace!

That was very thoughtful kids! It brought back very fond memories of my first car, '73 Luxury Lemans. White with a brown top. Man I had fun in that car. Got it used back in '79 after I graduated high school. That car repesented freedom and responsibility to me. When I get to heaven I'm gonna burn some donuts on the streets of gold.

The only... bad?.. part about this, is that the next generation probably won't be able to do a similar thing for us just because our cars don't have as much value in a long term as this

That's what a time traveling feeling looks like. That is happy.
My car got totalled the other day, videos like this make me realize a car is so much more than just wheels n steel. That look on his face made me weep tears of joy for him.
