OOLA: Object-oriented Linear Algebra. This is very useful advice to avoid confusing metaphors.

Having followed a traditional, mindblowingly dry and really unclear linear algebra course, I find myself looking forward to your videos, this one in particular had me surprised.

I have to disagree here. I think that the best way is to be fluent in each kind of vectors by themselves, and also to be able to go between them.

Linear algebra is usually taught so separately from anything "graspable, " it stops making all sense.

For example, in addition to the vertical number vectors you use there are also horizontal number vectors. Then we are taught to multiply the vertical and the horizontal. But what are we really doing? Why are some vectors vertical, and some -- horizontal? If I were to translate that into some sort of visual image, what would it be?

I have never figured it out.

This is just one question among many, all based on seeming (and false) irrelevance of Linear algebra.

Do you have any book is made by you, in the same method of your explanations, because it's so cool

Is this because that vector you drew is only really 2, 1 if it begins at the origin, and just by seeing that vector we dont know that to be true?
