Surveillance video captured the moment a giant sinkhole opened up in the middle of a soccer field in a park in Alton, Illinois, on Wednesday, June 26.

Super thankful that nobody was there at the time but somebody is definitely liable for this and should be held accountable, whoever approved the building permit for the soccer field despite knowing mine was it's great nobody was there but what if there was? people NEED to do their due diligence

A old mining field lol and you think the mining company didn’t do short cuts.

This is what happens when we let companies cut corners or don't even require solid saftey regulations, it could of been stabilized before. They always work with a company post facto, and even when someone dies the company will just get a slap on the wrist and have to pay some money.

If corporations are "people" then lets treat them like people and make them actually pay hard for their mistakes.

And the news should do their job and stop letting them off the hook and diminishing the seriousness of the negligence.
