Wait. Seriously. You have a hair dresser over zoom! That is the most mind blowing thing I've ever heard. And incredibly useful! 😮😮😮😮

Elyse is so captivating to listen to that I, a dude who went bald in his early 20s and only ever had straight hair before I started shaving it, watched this whole video and was like “huh those are some great recommendations, I should check them out” before realizing that I will literally never use any of this

(The curls look amazing, btw!)

The hair stylist part is so real. I couldn't get an appointment with my normal girl and the person I went to was like distracted practically the whole time she was working on my hair (simply by the conversation we were having) and my hair just did not curl up how I'd hoped it would after.

As a girl who has had naturally curly hair her entire life, do NOT use a clarifying shampoo every wash day or every day! Clarifying shampoos are great because they’re meant to strip out all the product and build up, but they can also strip out the moisture in your hair with repeated use. So it can actually damage and dry out your hair if you use it all the time! I suggest clarifying shampoo every couple washes, and use a hydrating shampoo and moisturizing conditioner as well! BUT if you use a *gentle* clarifying shampoo (the Giovanni brand had a great one!), you can use if every wash (assuming you aren’t washing your hair every day anyways), followed by hydrating shampoo. Curly hair doesn’t have as much moisture as straight hair because the texture of the curls stops the moisture from going all the way from scalp/root to end. So curly girls, make sure to moisturize and hydrate your curls!! :)) hope this helps y’all!! ❤

i’m in Cosmetology school and we’re learning cutting rn— my teacher teaches us the proper way to cut curly and textured hair so it follows the natural curl pattern so you can keep length and have the proper fall of hair

I went curly-girl a couple years ago and it’s been so gratifying. I love seeing you be and act as excited as I feel inside about it 😊 🙏

The curls look amazing. I have pretty straight hair and always wanted curly hair growing up. I can't hold a curl to save my life lol. Beautiful inside and out Elyse. 😊

1-Love Daisy. Wish more hairstylists could/would help people learn to cut and style their own hair. Not sure how she makes it work, but glad she does.
2-You look so confident and happy in this video. I'm still new to your content, and this is the least anxious and flustered I've seen you. Glad you love your hair. It's beautiful.❤

For anyone who wants their curls back
1. Cut off the dead ends, just do it.
2. Keep moisture in your hair. Find what works for you. I use serum because it's thick but doesn't leave my hair greasy.
3a-b hair. You don't want to touch your curls too often so they come back on their own. Making it so you only need to wash and go.

I hate getting haircuts, but when it's time I do it myself.

Omg I'm sooo happy you wrote (and linked) the products in the description!! I like to screenshot product recommendations and so many creators don't write them out so either I have to screen shot each individual product (which is impossible bc they're always moving all over the screen) or try to remember what each one is called and make my own list.
Really appreciate you just putting them in the description 💕

I had a stylist say that curly hair is very forgiving, and when the cut isn’t right it still looks good…

Nope…. it isn’t… and it doesn’t.

When curly hair is cut just right (including no point cutting IMO) it will look absolutely flawless 💅 Even if you just let it air dry after washing and brushing it.

It’s a truly amazing thing to find a stylist who understands curly hair ❤

Honestly, I think every stylist should learn how to cut curly hair, because they would get more clients and help so many women make their natural hair look incredible

It is so so hard to find someone that can successfully do curly cuts I’m discovering. Lots of people have no idea and learning some tips for yourself definitely goes a long way 🤞

ADD helps me hyper focus on the instructions, and makes me feel knowledgeable having acquired this important information.
Not sure I'll put this into action, but at least I'm 2/3 of the way there!
I, therefore, will use the remaining 1/3 of my goal enjoying Elyse's pretty curls.
Now I feel like I accomplished something today!
THAT'S GREAT!
I must record this on my list of accomplishments!
That is, if I've ever find that pad of paper again... and, then when I do find it, only if I can remember what I was going to write down.
WAIT A SEC!
Maybe I should write it down somewhere else to remind me to write it down somewhere else.
WELL, WELL!
I believe I have successfully accomplished 2 things today!
I'm on a roll!
