Florida legislature passes controversial vote-by-mail bill

With time running out before the end of this year’s legislative session, Florida lawmakers signed off Thursday night on a controversial elections bill that would make it harder for voters to cast ballots by mail.

Ugh it's easy. Show I.D. fill out your ballot and go to a drop box or polling station during voting hours. I'm 57 and when I first started voting I was 25. I registered, got my registration and went to the school that was used in my district, showed my I D. And registration and they checked it. I voted and went home. I was actually shocked when I moved to California and they didn't ask for I.D. oh ya and up until a decade ago we had 1 voting day. Not weeks of early voting or mail in ballots unless you were military. Just ugh. People are not to dumb to vote. They need to stop acting like we are

What so hard about requesting a mail in ballot every year?
There is a check box on the ballot itself. It says, "would you like to continue to vote by mail"?
Simple. Not controversial.

If you need a state employee watching the drop boxes, that means that drop boxes are only open during working hours. People work during working hours. the whole point of a drop box is to allow people to easily vote outside of working hours. How do you guys not see the contradiction here?? This makes it harder to vote. I'll say it again for the people in the back (republicans), THIS MAKES IT HARDER TO VOTE.
