FILM DESCRIPTION:
In the sleepy small town of Centerville, something is not quite right. The moon hangs large and low in the sky, the hours of daylight are becoming unpredictable, and animals are beginning to exhibit unusual behaviors. News reports are scary, and scientists are concerned, but no one foresees the strangest and most dangerous repercussion that will soon start plaguing Centerville: the dead rise from their graves and feast on the living, and the citizens must battle to survive.

Adam Driver constantly breaking the 4th wall throughout this movie is gold.

I don't think it's a question of "getting" it necessarily; you either liked it or you didn't. I like that Jim Jarmusch went and made an intentionally meta and low energy/dry zombie movie, where all the characters are kind of extensions of Jarmusch himself. It's a midnight movie, something that'd be great to watch at a Drive-In or as the back-end of a double feature with Only Lovers Left Alive. It's not incredible, but there's still some good stuff in it, especially if you're a JJ fan.

First time I saw this movie, and Driver said he read the script, I lost it. Literally fell ff my chair laughing. Had to rewind it just to finish watching.

Most people truly dont get how warm, wonderful and magic this movie is. It’s so silly and so off key but for some reason it’s one of my comfort movies. I love this film

At the beginning of the movie, they’re in a car, they start playing « The dead don’t die », the camera is in the car, music starts...then the camera is just out of the car, filming through the windshield, music keeps on.
I thought, 2 ways of breaking the 4th wall, one subtle and the other not so much.

This one wasn’t so subtle.
This film is kind of a pain to watch, but I think you can find many ways to interpret it and I enjoyed trying to figure out what Jim had in mind in each scene.

Loved this film. Always enjoyed the Zombie genre and the differences that each director would take with their version of Zombies.

I loved the closeness of the zombies to the Romero Zombies with remembering things from their past. I also loved how the kids who seemed like they would be the heroes of the film, Werent and just ended up as corpses. The film was a light hearted take on a genre thats seen a flood of films made over years.
