"God did not confer on us the Spirit of fear and timidity but the Spirit of power, love and good judgement". I feel so inspired.

Thank you father for these timely reminders of what we need to do to come back to our Abba Father. Dear Fr Warner the content of this chapter is so important for us to know. Jeremiah is condemning the false prophets who were leading the people astray with their lies, false visions & moral depravity. He contrasts them with those who speak the true word of God. Today people are so swayed by eloquent preachers who speak on every topic but the truth. And when God's Word is taken away, we will incur his wrath. It is a reminder to us of the sacredness of God's word & the holiness & sanctity of the church we pray in - where our mind blots out everything except God. Thank you Father for always taking the time to teach us. I know you’ve said that this also helps you but I for one I am thoroughly enjoying the teachings both the historical and theological aspects. It puts everything I am going through, or surrounded by into perspective.
The saying that God’s word is alive and active has come to life for me with these teachings as I see everything in Jeremiah’s or even the prophets we studied before happening in our world today.
This is not coincidental that we are learning this now, it’s a big call to repentance for our very troubled world.
