I've gotten tons of comments on the channel asking me if Saabs are good cars and if they're worth chasing. So, I threw together a list of pros and cons to help some of you decide if a Saab is right for you. If you liked the video, make sure to give it a like! As always, thanks for watching :)

I work at a parts store, and every Saab owner I compliment explains that it's a family thing that they all own Saabs

I got a 09 saab 9-3 aero v6 xwd with only 83k miles two months ago for $9, 000. No problems so far. Excellent first car for me!

I legitimately get so excited to see your videos. I have my 9-7x of course and I absolutely love it. I love all Saabs. I'd love to have a 9-3 like yours as a secondary car and ideally I hope to get a TurboX someday. In my opinion, Saabs are the best looking cars ever manufactured. Everything from the logo to the trapezoids on the grill. I hate driving cars with the ignition anywhere except where Saab put it. I really wish Saab were around today! GM or not.

Saab's in the UK tend to have businessman and architects as drivers and are well maintained and therefore reliable...but still cheap for the quality of car

Why you need to buy a Saab? Lmfao i can't think of a reason not to buy one. I went from an e46 M3 which i totaled to a 2005 9-3 Arc. So far o have full 3in turbo back with borla xr-1 sportsman race muffler (which sounds incredible) and stage 3 bcb. I've always had rare cars, first being an svt contour all done up to an m3 and now my 9-3 and i never thought i could fall in love with a car as i did with my Saab. Saabs have this mystical presence about them, i have a wide body kit on mine and people look and try to figure out what my car is and everyone tries to race me because my car sounds like a jet and to their surprise i blow their doors off effortlessly i love it. I hate GM but i'm sold on saab, don't wanna own any other car and hopefully one day i can get my hands on a 9-3 tx.

Awesome video! Have a 2007 saab 9-3 aero manual. First car, owned it for 3 years now. You went over a lot of the important points. One thing I would mention is that if your battery starts going in a 9-3 it'll start throwing random codes out like steering wheel malfunction, key not recognized, low headlight beam malfunction amongst others. Scared me shitless the first time i went through that few days after I got my car...went to the forums and learned it could be the battery so replaced it and it was right as rain.

Also never thought I'd be diy a car like I am right now but I would say if you don't like doing anything on your car even the most basic like changing oil, it'll start to cost you. I think my first oil/filter change after I got my car was $110 and then I wanted a second key which was like $150 which looking back at prices others got I was well off here. Obviously I started looking at "how to..." videos and getting into DIY after this lol. My car has been reliable got it at 160k miles and it was smooth as butter. Looked a long time like one should to find one I liked and learned about common things that one should watch for in these cars (long time saab forum lurker haha).

Anyway I do my own oil changes. Car has no given me any troubles at all nor left me stranded. The little I did on it was change the front sway bar end links and coil pack and I succeeded without breaking anything. I wasn't a DIY virgin after that. This was possible through the help and contributions of wonderful saab owners from the forums and on youtube. This car is similar to the vectra C from opel so sometimes when I need to fix something I try looking at videos about that car as well...Opel is its european sibling in a way.

Just bought mine! 2006 Saab 9-3 Aero 2.8T

For 2500. It has 7k into it, the motor is very solid. The suspension is redone, new tires. Only thing iffy is electric stuff, couple dings. But it runs amazing. I love this car. Oh and it only has 92k

Saab originally manufactured fighter aircraft. I had an 87 Saab 900 Turbo. It was a great car with manual transmission.

Excellent video and highly informative--as are some of your others on Saabs. This was very helpful in deciding about buying a 2011 9-3. Thank you.

I love saab, but I would never ever buy a non aero saab. Talking about the interior quality it really depends on the package of the car, some saabs have interior trims, like wooden panel and silver lines around the edges, so it makes up for the plastics, also you can buy aftermarket replacements for the cheap plastic and replace it with leather or carbon fiber.

Incredibly honest and accurate assessment of this genre Saab. Thank you Auto Autopsy!

Best YT with Saab Content in the world wide web. I think thats my new favorite video, because your explanation is so good on point. I drove my dads Saab 9000 and an old Saab 90, I love these cars and I will drive them as long as I can. The biggest Problem is in deed the problem with new Parts, but what can I say, me and my dad had never any issue. And were talking about a Saab 90 from '85. Love your Content, keep up with it, you do a great job for the Saab Community.
Best wishes from Germany

Good well documented video, picked up a late model 2011 1.9 Twin Turbo Editon 180 diesel, with 100k - absolutely dream machine, coming from BMWs since I was 19, I always had a 9-3 itch...now, 32 I have my first, very very underated cars.

I put a 98 octane fuel, my saab flies like a champ. also morning cold-start hesitations are gone; which I would suspect either O2 sensor or the intake valves.
