Oh my gosh I am getting the m2 MacBook Air on June the 25, but I’m getting mine in starlight. I simply cannot wait for it to arrive 😜

Try not to use a case. It damages the hinge and may break it, although it seems protective, it can hurt the MacBook. Also, if you do, try not to use a camera cover as it can cause cracks across the screen. If the webcam is activated, a light will show up beside it.

After extended research on my own (because I bought a M2 MBA 15' a couple of months ago), hard case will slowly damage the hinge of the laptop, sticker skins will cause the Mac to overheat because it prevents any heat dissipate properly, and keyboard cover will put pressure on the screen when the lid is closed, it will damage the screen over an extended period of time, and also will make the laptop overheat as well.

using any kind of protector is not recommended as it may break your display or crack your hinge . so try to use as it is :)

even i have the same laptop in silver.. try avoiding case and keyboard protector as it might make the key board jam later and case will add a dent to the sides just like it did to mine..

You can get a laptop skin if you’re worried about scratches. Get apple care if worried about damage.

Love it! Don’t listen to all the hate about the keyboard cover and hard shell case. Yes Apple in the past years ago had made a statement about the keyboard Protectors and cases but that was years ago. I have always used them and never had any issues and I have the same Mac as you! Also the Apple Store sells the hard case covers for all MacBooks lol. So don’t worry!

I don't recommend at all the keyboard protector cuz it could damage the screen, it's not designed to have something in between the keyboard and the display
