He played in an era where he would've accepted free beer and cheerleaders as a compensation for him playing! Schools hadn't even signed BILLION DOLLAR contracts for their sports!

AND, any ''professional bound' college player potentially creates issues between them and their team mates (it happens) tell this guy to shut up and do some community work!

AND, creating some endowment that a player can 'come back and get' is basically paying that player ... this is stupid!

I respect Mike bringing the people that he wants to speak to, and allowing them to have a platform. I believe Mr. Walker is a liar, and a strategic plant into the Georgia legislative system to keep poor and under-educated in the worst possible condition. Learn about the people who are asking for your VOTE and hold them accountable for your best interest.

I think allowing them to make money with their own image & talent should be essential. Anyone else on the planet can do it, why restrict individuals because they’re students? If the emphasis is on education how would allowing them to earn money through endorsements or deals change that? If that’s the case you might as well make college games free for all, not pay coaches, or receive broadcasting payments from companies who want to put these same students on TV. Because what this says is you’re ok with everyone making money but the ones actually performing. Also if they can afford it, make them pay for their own education too. If a college QB inks a deal for $1, 000, 000 I’m sure they’d be just fine with paying $150k for 3 seasons.

Small schools are being hurt now with lack of bowls and TV deals. How is a endowment fund going to pay for the poor and give money to athletes coming back to school for degree? This doesn't add up.
