Asking a reporter in Western Ukraine about what is going on in Eastern Ukraine... If he bothered to travel to Mariupol he could interview the civilians that lost their homes because Ukrainian troops positioned weapons, ammunition and armoured vehicles in schools, hospitals, and blocks of residences making them all legitimate targets. He could also confirm the surrender of the marines for himself and note that unlike the Ukrainians they do not shoot them in the legs and hit them with rifle butt's. This guy is not in a position to know anything but produce feel good stories and pass on Ukrainian propaganda. Get yourself a real war correspondent who reports on what he sees, not parrot the agenda.

Troops surrender.. Americans, Brits, Canadians, French, Aussies, , New Zealanders and many other nationalities have surrendered to countries they were at war with. They did their duty...can't ask more from them. The urge to want to live is very strong & basic.

Russia is at war not only with Ukraine, but also with NATO. NATO puts a lot of military equipment and its mercenaries on Ukraine. The former Ukraine has long run out of stocks, Russian soldiers are constantly finding foreign equipment and weapons
