I really respect the concept of the message you shared leading up to the new year. I did want to point out one thing that kinda stood out at the end of your sermon and I don’t mean this to offend at all. That being said, you referenced Genesis 50:20 in a bit of the wrong context. That’s what Joseph said to his brothers in reference to their selling him into slavery only to see him become Zaphenath-paneah and save his family and countless others during the famine that plagued Egypt. I thought that was an important point to make because not everything bad that comes our way is because “the enemy is coming to try and steal our joy”. I hope this helps and keep letting the Spirit reveal more about God’s Word as you keep digging!
